BREAKFAST BERRY SMOOTHIE
LOW FODMAP, GLUTEN FREE, DAIRY FREE, NUT FREE
This berry smoothie is one of our faves at Fodilicious. It’s super easy to make and covers lots of dietary requirements including:
60g Strawberries (5 medium sized, chopped up)
14g Blueberries (10 berries)
20g Raspberries (10 berries)
200ml Rice Milk
1 tbsp Gluten Free Oats
1 tbsp Maple Syrup
6 Ice Cubes
Place all ingredients into a blender, and blitz until smooth. Enjoy!
- I have a blend active smoothie maker which I absolutely LOVE! I bought it years ago and it’s lasted me for so long. You can purchase them in many retail outlets and they are so reasonably priced. Active Blender from Amazon
- Buy lots of fresh berries and store them in the freezer, that way you will always have frozen fruit available for your smoothie. It will be more cost effective too and will minimise waste! You could also buy frozen berries, however, make sure you don’t buy ‘frozen mixed berries’ without checking the ingredients first, as a lot of mixed berry packs include high FODMAP fruits such as cherries.
- You could also add a dairy free yoghurt such as coconut yoghurt for a creamier smoothie 🙂
